In September 2024, it was reported that workers at Ten Da Garment factory are facing a series of violations, including workers dismissed for not working overtime, employers taking photos of women workers without permission and those workers who do not want their photo taken told they would be blacklisted from other factories, limited seats in the dining hall due to production materials being stored there, limited and unsanitary toilets which have no water or doors to fully cover workers, the roof leaking, wage deductions if workers are 5 minutes late or take time off work, workers required to work across various departments and locations, verbal abuse if workers don’t meet targets, mandatory overtime overnight, day labourers who have less than 6 months service dismissed without notice if they don’t work overtime, those workers who reported overtime conditions to the labour office discriminated against and pressured to resign, and the suggestion letter box where workers report their concerns not opened or addressed by the factory.
