BESTSELLER's response to Beximco Group factory closures
BESTSELLER had an early-stage sourcing relationship with International Knitwear, a single factory within the affected industrial park, which employed approximately 1,300 workers. Following the arrest of the park’s owner and the interim government’s decision to freeze accounts, continued sourcing from the facility was no longer feasible. The interim government ultimately decided to close all facilities within the industrial park and is overseeing worker remuneration. We have been informed that all due payments to workers will be settled by end of March. BESTSELLER continues to monitor the situation and engage with relevant stakeholders as needed.
