UK: Cornwall care provider dropped by local council amid allegations of fee-charging, wage theft & threats; Miracle Care Centre did not respond

Care company Miracle Care Centre has been dropped as a contractor by Cornwall Council after workers accused it of running a modern slavery operation. Workers who spoke to a local media outlet said they had paid up to GBP20,000 in life savings for jobs at the company where they were threatened with dismissal and deportation if they spoke out about the extremely long hours and low wages they were paid. Workers said they were "bullied by management" and mentally abused.

The Resource Centre invited Miracle Care Centre to respond to the allegations; the company did not respond
